The RM5G Evolution ccTalk in the G mechanical version is an electronic coin and token validator by Comestero, designed for machines that communicate with the acceptor via the ccTalk protocol[cite: 317, 318, 64]. Instead of pulse signals, the validator transmits information digitally through a serial bus, and the credit accumulation logic is implemented on the machine controller side[cite: 34, 74].
Application
The RM5G Evolution ccTalk coin validator is used in devices where the controller or mainboard supports the ccTalk protocol, for example in: [cite: 32, 64]
vending machines with a ccTalk-compatible controller [cite: 32]
amusement machines with serial communication [cite: 32, 74]
payment systems based on microcontrollers [cite: 32]
OEM projects requiring digital communication with the acceptor [cite: 35, 74]
self-service devices where the controller monitors events via a serial bus [cite: 74]
Version G – coin path
The mechanical version G features a vertical coin path with a lower exit for both accepted and rejected coins[cite: 59]. After being inserted from the top, the coin passes through the measurement sensors and, upon verification, is directed to the appropriate exit channel[cite: 30, 59].
accepted coins go to the lower exit (to a cashbox, container, or hopper) [cite: 59, 60]
rejected coins are also directed to the lower exit, into a separate return path within the machine's structure [cite: 59, 60]
Key features of the ccTalk version
communication via ccTalk protocol (serial interface) [cite: 34, 64]
support for up to 16 coin and token channels [cite: 34]
acceptance speed up to 3 coins per second [cite: 34]
coin diameter range from 16 to 31.5 mm [cite: 34, 847]
power supply from 12 to 24 Vdc [cite: 34, 62]
