The RM5B Evolution ccTalk in Version B is an electronic coin and token validator by Comestero, designed for devices that communicate with the acceptor via the ccTalk protocol[cite: 33, 34]. Instead of pulse signals, the validator transmits information digitally through a serial bus, and the credit accumulation logic is implemented on the device controller side[cite: 34, 74].

Application

The RM5B Evolution ccTalk coin validator is used in devices where the controller or mainboard supports the ccTalk protocol, for example in:

  • vending machines with a controller supporting ccTalk [cite: 32]

Version B – coin path

Version B allows for both top and front coin insertion[cite: 59]. The coin passes through the measuring sensors, and after verification, it is directed to the appropriate outlet in the lower part of the validator[cite: 30, 60].

  • rejected coins are directed to the lower rejection outlet, into a separate return path in the machine's structure [cite: 60]
