NV4000 Spectral — Mixed-Denomination Banknote Recycler

The NV4000 Spectral is an advanced banknote recycler from Innovative Technology, built on the proven NV200 Spectral technology. The device accepts, validates, stores, and dispenses banknotes of various denominations—all in a single module. It is designed for self-service checkout counters, payment kiosks, ticket vending machines, payment terminals, self-service currency exchange kiosks, and anywhere else where a device must not only accept cash but also provide change.

Why the NV4000?

The biggest challenge for manufacturers of self-service machines is handling banknote change. A simple banknote acceptor requires the use of separate dispensers or limits change dispensing to coins only. The NV4000 solves this in a single device—accepted banknotes are fed into recycling drums and can be immediately used to provide change to subsequent customers.

Full spectral imaging — The NV4000 inherits the NV200 Spectral’s technology for scanning 4.8 million data points per banknote. This represents the highest level of validation security available on the market. Acceptance rates exceed 99% for both new and circulated banknotes, with virtually zero counterfeit acceptance. The device also detects stained banknotes (stained note detection).

Up to 680 banknotes in circulation—four recycling drums holding 70 banknotes each (280 total) plus a refill cassette for ~400 banknotes of mixed denominations. The refill cassette can automatically feed the recycling drums or serve as a direct source for dispensing. This means fewer service visits and less downtime.

Instant payout—it takes less than 2 seconds to dispense each bill. With spray payout (fan-shaped dispensing), the time is even shorter. For a customer standing at a kiosk or self-service checkout, this makes a real difference in service speed.

Modular design — configure the NV4000 to suit your needs. You can install 1 to 4 recycling drums, add or omit a refill cassette, and choose a cashbox that holds 1,000 or 2,200 banknotes. If your machine doesn’t need a refill cassette, install a larger cashbox. If you need to handle bulk deposits, add a Bunch Note Feeder, which accepts 100+ banknotes at a time.

Onboard diagnostics — built-in diagnostic tools allow you to identify problems without calling for service. Access to all banknote paths requires no tools—simply open the appropriate flap.
