A photo studio, a school photographer running the class portrait season, a sports photographer printing live after the match. They all face the same problem: a 6-inch printer is not enough when the client expects a print in a format that truly makes an impression. The DNP DS820 answers that need. It prints up to 20×30 cm and A4, and the output quality on Pure Premium Digital paper matches what a demanding client expects.
The DS820 is an 8-inch printer with up to 600 dpi resolution in high-quality mode. It handles ten formats, from 20×10 cm to panoramas and A4 sheets. Two media families, Standard Digital and Pure Premium Digital, let you match the paper to the type of job: the less expensive option for everyday service and production prints, the higher-grade option for portraits, weddings, and school class portraits. Glossy, Luster, and Fine Matte finishes are all available without swapping the device, simply by loading a different ribbon.

The DS820 prints exclusively on original DNP media. Each roll has a built-in RFID chip that the printer reads on every load. This is not a restriction, it is a guarantee of repeatable print quality. Third-party paper and dye ribbons can produce a different colour tone, uneven coverage, or shorten the life of the print head. In portrait and wedding printing, where the client judges the product by eye, that kind of variability is unacceptable.
The DS820 supports two media families: Standard Digital for everyday service work and Pure Premium Digital for high-end output. The current range of DS820 media is available in the ViewPro store: DNP media for the DS820.
