Why Only Genuine DNP Media
The RFID chip on every roll of DNP paper is not a lock-in mechanism, it is a print quality safeguard. The printer reads the dye calibration, colour profile, and remaining print count from the chip, so colour reproduction stays consistent from the first print to the last. Compatible alternatives without the chip simply will not run in the printer.

Can I print other formats from this same roll?
Yes. Thanks to the Ribbon Rewind function, the DS620 also prints the 6×6" (15×15 cm) Instagram square from the same 4×6" (10×15 cm) roll, alongside the classic format. You do not need to change media to switch between them.
What is the difference between the Glossy and Matte finishes?
You choose the finish in the printer driver, on the same paper. Glossy gives the classic glossy photographic print, ideal for colour photos and events. Matte shows fingerprints less and looks better in albums and under spot lighting.
What software works with this paper?
The printer works with DNP's free Hot Folder Print Utility. For photo booths, we recommend ViewPro's own Fotillo software, which communicates with the DS620 in both directions and shows live paper, ribbon, and job queue status. Printing from Lightroom, Photoshop, and most graphics programs runs through the standard driver.
